The next APX 100 I developed, I changed the Rodinal dilution from 1:25 to 1:50 and extended the development time to 13min. Some people say APX 100 and Rodinal 1:50 is THE classic combo and I confirm that opinion.

Only little postprocessing was needed.

I’m curious about printing that film. It’s time again for some darkroom work!

Obviously the M-Rokkor 40/2 is prone for backlighting. Maybe the only downside of that lens.

I think APX100/Rodinal 1:50 is my new favourite combo along with Tri-X400 / X-Tol 1:1. What’s you favourite film/development combo?

1. first question: what is the light sensitivity of b&w paper? i used ilford multigrade iv, which has something between iso 6 and 12.
2. which aperture the polaroid is using? with the EE44, you can choose between two settings, f9 and f62.
3. because the polaroid has an automatic shutter and isn’t designed for low light sensitivity, you have to cover the light meter and manually stop the shutter. according to my sekonic light meter and some calculations, i got 8sec.@ f62 (cloudy day).
4. cut a b&w paper sheet in a darkroom until it fits into an empty polaroid film pack.
5. after capturing a photo, i put the paper sheet in my JOBO film tank and developed it with standard times.

The lake is encircled from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We spent the most time in Konstanz.

It happened that my old trusty enlarger fell into the pieces. So I got myself a used Durst M605 – finally I can enlarge 120 films and use multigrade papers, wohoo!

Here are some prints, that I made in an intense session. Used 13×18cm Ilford MGIV RC Deluxe paper, film was Tri-X in X-Tol 1:1. One more time, I’m astonished by the differences in perception between screen and print.

Unusually, I took the way across the fields. There was a deep fog and I decided to return with Anna’s 5D to capture the darkness. So here some snapshots from the trip.
